Sylvie founded Benoliel Avocats in 2013. She holds a specialist certificate in Intellectual Property Law.

She is involved in numerous legal proceedings before the French and European courts (GC, EUCJ) as well as before the Offices (INPI, EUIPO). Pre-litigation and consulting activities are also an important part of her daily work as a specialist.

Her core profession focuses on trademark law, copyrights, designs and models and patents. Her expertise covers closely related issues such as unfair competition, parasitism, advertising practices and certain aspects of commercial litigation.

She has always worked in ‘boutique’ firms specialised in IP law and was the founding partner of the firm Antoine & Benoliel (2002 – 2013).

She is the President of the APRAM (Association of Trademark and Design Law Practitioners) since January 2022 and was its Vice-President during the 4 years before that. She is also a member of various specialised associations: the INTA (International Trademark Association), the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) and the AAPI (French Association of Industrial Property Lawyers).

She is involved in training courses at the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (French School for Judges), the IAE de Paris and the INPI.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Anne-Sophie joined Benoliel Avocats as an associate in 2013. She holds a Master 1 in Business Law from Nanterre Paris X and a Master 2 in Technical Innovation Law (DI2C) from Paris XI.

Before joining the firm, Anne-Sophie acquired various professional experiences: Paris Court of First Instance (TGI de Paris), Lagardère Active, Cohen & Lord LLP in Los Angeles and Aramis Avocats, a law firm specialised in IP/IT.

She is a member of the APRAM and the AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers) and is involved in the Paris Bar School’ s IP program (EFB).

She works in both French and English.

Sonia joined Benoliel Avocats in 2022 as an associate. She holds a Master 1 in International Business Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master 2 in Innovation and Industrial Property Law (with a major in new technologies) from the University of Paris XI. During her studies, Sonia, who is both French and Finnish, also completed a semester at the University of Helsinki, in Finland.

Her professional experience includes working at law firms, at the technical research centre of a major French company, at an international humanitarian association, and finally at the 5-2 chamber of the Paris’ Court of Appeal, specialised in intellectual property.

Before starting her career as a lawyer, she worked as a jurist in the legal department of a worldwide group specialised in hairdressing and cosmetic products.

She is fluent in French and English and speaks Finnish.
